剧情简介:Faye set up her camping van by a lake on a mountain and rhythmically cooked a meal, retrieving crawfish from a trap and scanning her old box radio for a station. She eagerly awaited the arrival of a childhood friend she hadn't seen in decades, explaining to nearby campers that she was waiting for him. When he finally arrived, Lito and Faye, both widowed, spent an evening reminiscing about their lives, losses, and loneliness. Max Walker-Silverman's enchanting debut is a whimsical romance that portrays a \Wild West\ filled with tranquility, empathy, and introspection. It is both naturalistic and ambiguously surreal, blurring our senses of time and beauty, loss and vitality, grandeur of nature and intimate humanism. Dale Dickey and Wes Studi's professional performances bring an inevitable presence to the film's seldom-seen characters. They are gentle misfits with resilience and existential spirit, seeking to deal with something elusive: a sense of love that no longer exists. Like Faye turning the dial on her radio, they listen hopefully for faint traces of a song.
