The story follows Sheriff Roy Pulsipher, who is killed in a gunfight with a notorious gang but is recruited by the R.I.P.D. to return to Earth for a second chance. However, when the gates to hell open in the old mining town of Red Creek, it not only threatens the locals but also humanity itself.
